Stephen Hawking
Stephen Hawking was widely considered one of the most intelligent people on the planet. Hawking was a theoretical physicist and cosmologist. Hawking wrote fifteen books, most notably A Brief History of Time. Hawking eventually became paralyzed by a motor neuron disease and had to communicate using a speech-generating device, which evolved over time. Besides being on The Simpsons four times, he was also a pop-culture icon featured in Star Trek: The Next Generation, Futurama, and The Big Bang Theory. There was even a biopic about Hawking’s life called The Theory of Everything, in which Eddie Redmayne played him and earned an Academy Award for Best Actor.
