Exciting Movies Set to Release Before the End of 2024

2024 has already given us some highly anticipated films like Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Deadpool & Wolverine, Maxxxine, Inside Out 2, and so many others. However, the year is still ongoing, and there are even more films to get excited about.

It is a spooky season, so for those horror fans out there, grab your candy and get ready for Nosferatu. Director Robert Eggers, known for The Witch and The Lighthouse, takes a stab at this classic vampire franchise. With veteran horror stars like Bill Skarsgård and Willem Dafoe, it surely will haunt your dreams. It comes out on Christmas day. Heretic looks like a fun, scary religious horror film starring Hugh Grant, as we have never seen him before. It comes out November 8th. Nightb*tch is a comedy horror starring Amy Adams. In the film, Adams plays a new mom who might be turning into a dog. It comes out on December 6th.

Perhaps you have little kids, or you are kids at heart. Disney has some highly anticipated films. First, we have Moana 2, the sequel to the super popular Disney film Moana. It comes out on Thanksgiving weekend, November 27th. Next, we have the live-action spin-off Mufasa: The Lion King. Some familiar voices like Donald Glover, Seth Rogen, and Billy Eichner will be reprising their roles. The film is set to come out on December 20th. Another fun, beloved character gets a third installment with Sonic the Hedgehog 3. Jim Carrey has come out of retirement and is reprising his role as Dr. Robotnik. It is also set to release on December 20th. But that’s not all. We also have a new animated film called Hitpig. It stars Andy Serkis, Jason Sudeikis, Rainn Wilson, and RuPaul. It could be a new animated classic. It hit theaters on November 1st.

If you are a superhero junkie, there are some movies to look forward to. However, these films focus more on supervillains. Venom is back with Venom: The Last Dance. This will be the third installment. It comes out on October 25th. Another Sony Pictures Entertainment film based on the Marvel comic character will be released on December 13th. The film is Kraven the Hunter. It is much darker than other superhero films with much more violence, but it will surely be action-packed. It stars Aaron Taylor-Johson and Russell Crowe.

If you are a musical theater nerd, there is a film we are sure you will be excited about. It is Wicked, based on the hit Broadway play. It looks visually stunning and has an incredible cast, including Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, Michelle Yeoh, and Jeff Goldblum. There has been a trend where movies are not marketed as musical, like Joker: Folie à Deux, Mean Girls, and Wonka. However, Wicked tunes are proudly in the trailer and should be a fun ride down the yellow brick road. It comes out November 22nd.

Grab some tissues because we have some dramatic tearjerkers for you. Tom Hanks, Robin Wright, and Robert Zemeckis reunite after making Forrest Gump in the film Here. The story takes place over a century in the same house. It explores all the different experiences and people who lived there. It comes out November 15th. Nicole Kidman stars in the dramatic film Babygirl. Kidman’s characters star in a love affair with a younger man. It comes out on December 25th.

Another dramatic film coming out on October 25th is Conclave. It stars Ralph Fiennes, Stanley Tucci, and John Lithgow. The story surrounds the selection of the new pope. The Piano Lesson takes place in Pittsburgh following the great depression. It follows the Charles family and their decision on what to do with the family heirloom. It is based on an August Wilison play. It stars Samuel L. Jackson and comes out on November 22nd.

If you are an action-adventure kind of moviegoer, look out for Gladiator II. Twenty-four years later, director Ridley Scott returns to the epic franchise. It stars Pedro Pascal and Denzel Washington. It is something that should be seen on the big screen. It comes out November 22nd. Red One should also be a fun, action-packed holiday-themed film. It stars Dwayne Johnson, Chris Evans, Lucy Liu, and J.K. Simmons as Santa Claus. It comes out on November 15th.

Nerd out with the animated film The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim. Haven’t had enough of Middle Earth? Enjoy this new Lord of the Rings story. Coming to theaters on December 13th.
