This is one we can fully get behind. Downey Jr. is a charismatic individual. Sirius Black (Gary Oldman) was both charismatic and highly liked. It only makes sense to insert Downey Jr. — someone full of gravitas — into this situation. Like Black, Downey Jr. is no stranger to ‘combat’ action scenes (though this one will involve a wand instead of a firearm or jetpack). Plus, acting purists around the world would salivate over scenes involving Downey Jr. and this cast full of A-listers.
