Who Are These Weird People?
In the vast tapestry of human interactions, there are moments that stand out, etched into our memories like peculiar brushstrokes on a canvas. We’ve all experienced curious encounters with strangers, but some tales transcend the realm of ordinary oddities, venturing into the realm of the truly bizarre. In this exploration of human peculiarities, we delve into the extraordinary experiences of individuals who have found themselves at the receiving end of the weirdest things a complete stranger has ever done. Prepare to be astonished, amused, and perhaps a little unnerved, as we unravel the enigmatic and eccentric acts that left an indelible mark on these unsuspecting souls.
20. The Banana Phone Guy
I had a man at the grocery once come up to me in the produce section, grabbed a banana and held it to his ear, and said, “…oh, hello… it’s for you,” and passed it to me like a telephone lol. He then went on to say how he always pulls the banana phone prank on his family ALL the time, and they’re like hahah yeah banana phone again you got us! Anyway, I politely laughed it off, wished him a good day, and went on through the store.
A few minutes later, I’m walking down the frozen food aisle and he approaches me — banana in hand. He makes a ring-ring noise, answers the banana phone, and says “Oh hey hunny…” – while giving me a little wink. He says, “Talk to you later, still at the store.” At this point, I’m like, “Okay how much banana phone can we possibly do?”
Then I’m in the checkout lane. Cashier is scanning my items, little bit of small talk between us, when out the corner of my eye… I see it… a banana in my periphery…. moving closer and closer toward me. The cashier looks at me quizzically. I’m like “No, it can’t be. Not again.” I glance over. He’s standing there, cheeky grin, banana in hand.
“It’s for you.”
19. The Phantom of the Freeway
I was probably the cause of someone’s weirdest thing. I was out on the highway hitchhiking — trying to get home for Christmas. An elderly couple going around 5 miles-per-hour under the speed limit passes me without stopping. A short time later, I get picked up and we quickly catch up to the old couple. I got out of that car when we got to his exit, and resumed hitchhiking.
Along comes the old couple again. When they see me, I can see that their mouths are open in surprise. Same thing happens again. I get picked up, we pass the old folks, and then get let off miles down the road.
The third time they passed me, the old couple quite obviously are freaking out a little bit. They actually swerve over to the other lane and stare at me the whole time.
So that day I became the phantom highway hitchhiker who kept mysteriously reappearing.

18. An Unintentionally Hilarious Moment
I got on the bus, and a drunk guy tried to hand me a beer. I was like, “Nah man, I’m good.” Then, he handed me a dollar and said, “I saw that guy took your dollar, that’s really f***** up.” And I was like, “The bus driver?”
He wouldn’t take his dollar back.
17. Um…Who Are You?
This is the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to me, period.
I was in Walmart and this guy calls me by my name. I’ve never seen him before in my life, but he knew my name and swore I used to work with him at some company I never worked with before. Weirdly, he even knew my last name. We chatted for a bit, and I told him that he must have me mixed up with someone else. So I continue shopping and go to the check-out. As I’m leaving the store, I glance over and see the guy with what appears to be his wife.
They are still shopping in the clothes section and have a buggy full of stuff. So I leave Walmart and drive straight to a nearby Goodwill that is less than 5 minutes away. As soon as I walk into the store, that same guy is there — with his wife — and a buggy full of stuff (as if they had been shopping for like 20 minutes). I had no idea how to react and the guy saw me and was like “Heeey, it’s you again!”
I still don’t know who he was. I don’t remember his name, but I had looked him up and couldn’t find anything on him. Still the weirdest and creepiest thing to ever happen to me.
16. Lost in Translation
I’m from the States and just arrived in Ukraine recently. A giant drunken shirtless man approached yelling at me in Russian, which I didn’t speak. I just watched him wide eyed. He got right in my face steaming and I mustered, “I’m sorry I don’t speak Russian.” He looked at me like he wanted to kill me.
Then he proceeded to pull me out of my chair. I am not a small man, standing at 6’1 and about 250 at the time. However, he dwarfed me.
I feared for my life! After an agonizing couple seconds of silence, he he slowly reached towards my chest, and…he f****** tickled me! He burst out laughing and bought me a beer. That was about 3 years ago.
I saw him recently. He walked up to me, asked me for a cigarette, lit it, and walked away — but not before turning and giving me a subtle wink.

15. Advice From a Real-Life Pokémon Character
I went to a conference room for a work meeting — only to find a man in a giant Pikachu costume. He gave me life advice and a balloon sword.
Edit: For background, he wasn’t an employee, but someone we had hired (unbeknownst to me) to serenade a colleague who was about to get married. A summary of his advice:
- Don’t do (too many) drugs, everything in moderation
- Find something you love and do it
- Seize any opportunity to travel
Bonus weird stranger story as long as we’re here. In early 2017 IIRC, I was on a Brooklyn bound subway. I got on at the same time as this girl (looked in her early 20’s).
The only seat left was one of those foldout seats at the end of the train. We walked to seat at the same time and she offered that we split it. Now I, like most mta riders, have a strict no-talking-to-strangers policy on the subway, which I ended up breaking. We sat and chatted about what we liked about the city and whatnot. However, she mostly played Nintendo 3DS. I randomly think of that ride every now and then.
14. An Odd Encounter
Long ago, I was walking from the Pan Pacific Convention Centre in Vancouver (the five blocks or so into Gastown) to get some dinner with a rep from an American company. He was in town with me doing a trade show.
It’s summer and a beautiful evening, so there are lots of people out. As we’re hitting the cobblestones onto Water Street, there’s this older, grizzled and grey, wild-haired and decidedly agitated-looking dude with a hat on the ground. He also had a guitar strapped over one shoulder (looking like he’d forgotten it was there). Even then, there were strings missing anyway.
So he’s kind of staring off pondering something as we approach. Then suddenly, he turns and zeroes in on my companion — like locks the f*** onto him as we’re coming closer. Suddenly, he blurts out to my guy, “Hey!! What do you get when you cross a yuppie and a duck?!”
My friend: “Uh… I don’t know… a yuppie-duck…?”
Street dude: “No!!! You get a grass fed, middle manager from Iowa!”
So we walk on by and I ask my buddy, “Didn’t you think that was f****** weird??”
My friend: “No… Why?”
Me: “Because you’re a district manager from Cedar Rapids who doesn’t eat meat! How the f*** did he dial all that up out of the air like that?!?”
But my buddy was genuinely unimpressed. Could not understand why, because it blew my mind! Thought about all this many, many times. Wondered what it would be like to talk to that guy. To be like him. Can you imagine if rushes of pertinent imagery rushed into your head when you looked at strange people?
Could put you off your game bigtime.
Could leave you out on the street.

13. One Night in Brussels…
Hum…we were on that park in Brussels that’s all stone and has a swan right above the door. This is close to where Karl Marx used to live. A girl one or two years above me came straight at me and tongue kissed me.
Not only did I not expect it, but it was my first kiss. I could tell she had just smoked a cigarette, and I HATE cigarettes. As such, I kind of pushed her and spat out the taste. She slapped me, and I slapped her back.
She yelled at me “You don’t hit women” and I yelled back at her “I’m allergic to tobacco.” Which I’m not. But she left me alone after that point.
12. A Memorable Gift
I was like 11 or 12, if I recall correctly. My mom and I were at this bus stop. Mind you, at the time, we were at a point of INCREDIBLE poverty. I was also in desperate need of new shoes because the ones I had were so worn down and had holes in them. This dude comes over to the bus stop, and talks to us for a minute. He hands over a box and says it’s for me.
It’s a brand new pair of shoes. And they were also in my size. I have never seen this man before or since. Never on the bus stop or in the town.
It’s been a long time since then, but thank you random stranger man for the shoes I desperately needed in a time when me and my mother had very little.
11. Cape Town Craziness
A couple years ago, one late night in Cape Town, a friend and I were standing outside a bar on the sidewalk chatting, quite drunk. I still had half a beer in my hand, sipping from it. Suddenly, the bouncer of the place standing next to me, just grabs the beer from my hand without a word and moves away. I was about to “What the f*** bro?” when I immediately saw the blue police lights flashing against the building front wall we were standing at.
You’re not allowed to drink on the street here, and my drunk brain — who has been living here for 23 years at the time — didn’t think of that.
Thank you kind bouncer for grabbing it out of my hand before the cops could see it, saving me a night in the cells.
10. Ask For a Fry Next Time, Dude
Was at a college football game. During halftime, I went to go get some food (ended up getting chicken tenders and fries.) As I was walking to the condiment stand, this guy stops directly in front of me and puts his index finger in front of my face (the way an eye doctor would do when they are asking you to follow it).
The guy reaches down real slowly and grabs a fry. He then booped me on the nose and walked off without saying a word. I assumed he was high, but all around a strange experience.

9. Real Regret in Russia
On the whole Russian vibe, I was headed home one night from the pub. It was pretty late, maybe 11 p.m.? And this old Russian guy stopped me and asked for a cigarette — which I obliged.
He happened to have a carrier bag on him with a liter of vodka and a big bottle of coke, and he insisted I drink with him. So we sat on the curb a while, just making small talk — me using my broken Russian.
And then he kind of teared up, and old me that he’d done things, bad things, when he was in the army. That was why he drank. To try and forget. I tried my best to tell him that the fact that it bothered him as much as it did meant that he was a good man. I never saw him again, and it was right by my house. Good lord was I drunk after that.
8. The Lottery Nostradamus
I was on the bus going to work, and an old Asian man sat beside me. He didn’t speak a word to me, but picks up my hand and starts reading my palm. I was uneasy, but didn’t pull my hand away. He proceeded to tell me that I will win the lottery by the end of the week (of course didn’t believe him). I don’t even play the lottery.
That Thursday, a coworker put my name down for the office lottery (without asking if I wanted to be in it, she assumed I did). We won. Wasn’t a huge amount — couple of thousand each. But, it was freaky how it all came about.

7. Christmas at Walmart!
My daughters and I were getting late Christmas presents at Walmart in December of 2017. I think it was a weekend because I remember that I was dressed in pretty grubby clothes. I’m also quite bearded.
A family of 4 with 2 high school age girls walked into the other end of the aisle, paused, and the dad ran up to me. He handed me an envelope and said Merry Christmas. All of them then ran away. I was caught completely off guard and couldn’t even get a response out. I looked in the envelope. It was $100 cash.
While the gesture was very nice, we are well off financially — so I walked around a bit trying to find them and explain that there are more deserving families. No dice, so we hit the toy aisle and picked up a ton of toys. We then dropped them all in the Toys for Tots bin on the way out.
Super nice stranger family. Also I guess I really looked like s*** that day.

6. A Strange New Years Eve in NYC
This’ll get buried but whatever. New Years Eve on Times Square in New York. It’s about 2:00 a.m. and festivities are pretty much over. My girlfriend and her brother and I are walking around aimlessly, riding the high of the new year.
We stop in front of a Falafel stand and study the menu. 6’2″ homeless dude rolls up and talks to the brother: “Hey man, you got a dollar?” “Sorry dude, not on me”. Homeless dude pulls out the thickest stack of singles I’ve ever seen. Must have been 4 inches thick, and totally soaking wet. He peels one off and hands it to my girlfriend’s brother, buys a coke from the falafel guy, does a freestyle rap about how much he loves LSD, and walks away.
5. A Birthday in London We’ll Never Forget
Was in London with mates celebrating my 21st birthday. We decide on the Friday night to go to a bar for a chilled drink. We were up early Saturday, then out Saturday night.
As we leave the bar walking down Carnaby Street (was quite empty and quiet at this time), some hooded guy who didn’t look quite homeless comes up to us and asks quietly if he can kiss our shoes.
I laugh out of surprise. He then goes, “Can I buy your socks for £20?”. At this point, me and all my mates are laughing out of confusion and awkwardness. This guy was being completely serious.
When we walk off, we look behind and he’s flipping us off.
Wasn’t even the weirdest encounter of the weekend.
4. Playtime is OVER!
More like something I witnessed.
I was working the register at a Cold Water Creek at the Mall of America. For those that are unaware, it is a clothing store aimed at well-off older women. As a 19-year-old guy, I was well out of the demographic. But, it was an okay job.
About six feet in front of my register we had a display with gift cards in them. A mom and what looked to be her daughter about my age came into the store. The mom walked off through the store and the daughter beelined it to the display with gift cards.
She picked up two gift cards and started to pretend they were airplanes in combat. She was making sound effects and everything, and the fight sounded like it was getting pretty intense. This went on for about 20 seconds. While she is playing with them she slowly turns around and starts to face me. We make eye contact.
She dropped the cards and turned red in the face. She ran off while yelling “Mom we need to leave!” She then grabbed her mom by the arm and left the store. I never saw her again.
3. How A Dog Almost Ate Me
When I was around 11 years old, I would take a side street to my dad’s shop that was about a 10 minute walk from my house. I had to walk past a couple of alleyways on my walk. One summer afternoon around dark, I was walking by one of the alleys, and a man walked out of his front door with no shirt on just wearing jeans.
He was a registered sex offender in our town, but he never really came out. I hadn’t ever heard what happened, or the actual reason he had to register. I had just been told to not talk to him, and basically don’t take the alley by his house. When he came outside, he had a large German Shepherd on a chain. When he looked at me, I heard him saying to his dog: ”I think he’d be a good meal for you tonight, you want to kill him??”
He grabbed the dog’s neck area and began shaking it’s head around, and he started yelling “YOU WANT TO GET HIM DONT YA!!!” And started yelling, hitting his door, and slamming it open and shut a couple of times while he was having his episode. I ran as fast as I could, hoping I didn’t get attacked by a huge dog or the guy. Never been so scared in my life.
2. Being A Triplet Helped In This Situation
I had this guy stop me one morning near my work, and introduce himself. We’ll call him Alan. Now I had headphones on and I’m not social, but he stopped me and I thought he wanted directions. WRONG. He introduced himself, asked for my number and I said I would take his and message him. Also, he had a stutter and some clear mental issues.
My plan was to take it and just not do anything about it. Well, as soon as I had typed in his number, he reaches over and presses call on my phone. Now he has my number. Time goes and he’s trying to call and talk. I want nothing to do with it. Every time I run into Alan, he asks the same questions all the time.
It got to the point he was coming to my work to see me and calling my work. I gave him a fake address and he went there (which was the other side of the city I live in) and then when he saw me the next day, asked why I didn’t answer.
Eventually I had to make up that I was a triplet, and then every time he spoke to him I pretended to be one of the other triplet. Original me is now living in Australia. My triplets tell him to piss off. I feel bad but like bruh!
1. Elvis Has Left The Building!
Sat in a bar with friends.
A guy came up (over the age of 60). He was dressed as Dead Elvis. This guy somehow picked up our table complete with drinks — perfectly evenly — and lifted it over our heads. He then ran away with it. This was not a small table, but a solid one designed for 6 people. No idea how he did it.
These Anecdotes Are Truly Shocking
Throughout history, humanity has been captivated by the mysterious and unexplained, and few subjects have intrigued us as much as the possibility of extraterrestrial life. Real-life accounts of people claiming to have encountered aliens and witnessed UFOs have sparked widespread curiosity, sparking debates and fueling our imagination about what lies beyond our own planet. From the remote deserts to bustling cities, these extraordinary tales of close encounters have transcended cultural boundaries, leaving an indelible mark on the collective psyche of humankind. While skeptics remain, the stories of these eyewitnesses persist, serving as a fascinating window into the unknown and reminding us that the universe is vast and full of potential surprises yet to be unveiled.
20. The Blue Man
Since I started my spiritual journey, I have come across a large number of what many would call paranormal events. The nature of the events and the paranormal “guests” vary and differ greatly, as well as the impact of the experiences. Some scary, some enlightening.
I will focus on a particular one that was of a great positive impact. I was chilling in my friend’s bed and I got into a very relaxed state of mind. I was basically meditating — only it felt different, much different and much better than usual.
It felt like a different strain of calm and energy poured into me. This blue alien being — large eyes, very soft voice — appeared in my mind’s eye and presented itself as a “father”. It wished me “all the best” while giving me a “taste of home” via this energy stream. The sensation was literally like being home. I’ve never felt more at peace and safe.
And it’s just one of many…
19. Through The Window Was A Scary Surprise
When I was a child, around eight years old, I think I had an encounter. I say “think” because after another experience I had later in life, it was highly probable.
I lived in Lake Orion, Michigan. The bedroom I slept in was not on the second floor, but it was higher up than normal. When you entered into my house you had to walk up 3 stairs to be on the main floor, so the windows were not ground level like normal homes, and we also had a basement. The window right next to my bed was the same height as the other windows. Normal people couldn’t look into the window standing on the ground. I would like to guess that it was at least six feet off the ground.
One night, I woke up and I was facing the window. My bed was pushed up right against it as it was a fairly small room. I opened my eyes, and realized I was looking directly at an alien. Where we lived, there wasn’t any light pollution, so it was very dark outside. The moon seemed to have illuminated his head. It was fully in view along with part of its neck. He had typical features of an alien: Big black eyes, white/greyish skin and a small mouth. He had his hand resting on the window with really long thin fingers. Three of them were long, and the fourth was shorter. At the time, I didn’t realize his height as a child because I wasn’t able to rationalize size then. But as I grew older, I realized it had been very tall.
I remember being very scared. I closed my eyes again, hoping it would think I didn’t see it. I rolled away from the window and laid very still. I always told myself it wasn’t real. I have only told a couple of close people about it because it has always sounded stupid. But as I get older, I want to share it.
I have had more than my fair share of NDE’s in my life. This last one I had made me realize life is short, and that I need to talk about my experiences.

18. What Was That?
I was watching the stars, and I saw something that appeared to be an airplane. But, it was way higher than normal airplanes fly. Moments later, I see an actual airplane, lights blinking…and it’s at a lower altitude. I looked back at what I thought was a plane. There are no blinking lights and it’s a lot higher. I’m watching it going in a straight line — then all of a sudden it makes a 90° turn and goes from north to east. It seems to have been flying a lot faster than a normal plane.
Then it just stopped. It looked just like all the other stars around it, blending in as if it wasn’t there, as if I didn’t see anything. What was it? I’ve seen stars do weird things in the past, but I thought it was my imagination. I am now 19 years old and just saw this anomaly in the sky. And I tried to record it, but right as I pointed the camera to the sky, that’s when it stopped. I find it awfully coincidental. As this eerie event happened, a shooting star came by moments later to brighten the mood.

17. A Real Home Invasion
I just signed up to Reddit to share an experience I had a couple of years ago. But I guess I have to get a higher karma score before I can post? I’m very new to this so still figuring it out.
It sounds unbelievable, but I had a direct encounter with an alien in my house. I’m in my 30’s and live in California. Around the time this happened, my dog was starting to panic at night when I went to sleep. She’s getting older, so I thought she was developing some kind of fear of the dark. But one night, she was so restless I just let her leave the bedroom and hang out in the house. I fell asleep and woke up a few hours later. There was an alien standing next to my TV just staring at me. Keep in mind, this whole episode lasted about 15 seconds. I got the feeling as soon as I woke up, that I wasn’t supposed to wake up. And I wasn’t supposed to see this thing in my room. It was about 80% the size of an average male. What struck me instantly was that it had human proportions. It didn’t have some giant head. The head was the same as ours except it did have larger black eyes.
The tone of its skin was this very dark marbled grey/brown/olive. After staring at each other for about 15 seconds, I just blacked out. And then I woke up very early the next morning, and the room felt very weird. I was honestly terrified. I don’t know that I’ve ever experienced fear like that. And I can’t really explain why.
The other part of the experience was that I did pick up information from it. And again, I got the feeling that wasn’t intentional. It was like accidentally hearing a radio transmission. I just picked up these things all within a few seconds. That’s a more complicated thing to get into.
I too have the same fascination with space. It would be unbelievable to be able to explore if that were possible. I have to tell you, the feeling I got from that being was very ominous. It wasn’t good. And it was not good in a way I didn’t understand. It’s almost like infidelity would mean nothing if you tried to explain that to a horse. There was something bad about this that was not in a human’s realm of understanding. One of the things I did pick up from this experience was that there are numerous species that are similarly capable. And some are better intentioned than others.
Ever since that experience, I do feel some kind of connection. Like I can communicate if I want to. I’m fairly certain I was not abducted or anything like that. I just knew it was a sort of “check up.” And that it wasn’t the first time.
I’ve tried very hard to find any kind of similar accounts but I haven’t found any. So I was glad to see your post.
16. Stay Away From The Blue Light
Yeah, I had a nightmare last night that was pretty much a recap of something that happened 3 years ago. I was up late studying for my midterms and went to sleep around 1 a.m. Around an hour later while falling asleep, I notice a blue light coming through my blinds. I think nothing of it, as we had a light in the backyard that was greenish.
After a short while of trying to sleep, I wake up to tugging on my blankets. At the time, I think it’s my older brother messing with me since he wakes up early to go to the gym (and then heads off to work very early in the morning). It kept going until the tug got much more forceful. I then said in a loud voice “Let me sleep dude, it’s not funny.” The tugging stops immediately as I said it. I turn over to try and hit what I thought was going to be my brother. Instead, straight across from me peering from my bedside was just two blue lights — or eyes the size of maybe two tennis balls on a bulbous silhouette that was a head. I stared at it for some seconds. Whatever it was, it pulled its head back as if confused. I then covered myself in my blankets.
I stayed like this for maybe two minutes. I then hear steps scampering off. This wasn’t like hearing a person walk away, but more like a dog on tile trying to keep its balance. Whatever it was, it sounded like it had multiple limbs it used to move (not bipedal). I then check my phone — which is under the covers as I keep it next to me as I sleep — and I notice it’s about to be 3 a.m. I hear my brother’s alarm, and hear the screen door to the backyard close.
I wait to see that my brother is up as he tends to turn the hallway lights on. I scream out for him to come. Real quick, he comes inside my room and I ask him if he was messing with me. He says he didn’t know what I was talking about, but he then gets mad that I woke him up early by letting the dog inside since he heard it scampering outside his door in the hallway (making noise maybe an hour ago).
I told him it wasn’t me, and I just assumed it was a night terror or something. Each time I see blue lights at night, I tend to get nervous now — since I’m not sure what I experienced honestly.
15. I Was Almost Abducted…Don’t Tell My Wife!
This literally just happened to me this morning. I was sleeping in bed next to my wife and son. My son is just over a year old, and still wakes up throughout the night. So my wife and I have lullabies playing on YouTube all night to help soothe him when he wakes up. As normal, he wakes up and starts fussing, and my wife pulls him in to breastfeed. She taps me and tells me she has to use the bathroom. So she gets up and does her thing. Keep in mind, I’m not drowsy or sleepy or anything at this point, I’ve been awake for at least 45 minutes. Even prior to my son waking up.
Anyways, as she is in the bathroom, I’m laying there with my son on the other side of the bed now back asleep. Then suddenly, I feel paralyzed. I feel as if my body weighs 500 pounds. The sound of the lullaby disappears and is replaced with what I can only describe as rushing winds. As if I’m being shot through a tunnel or vortex or something. My eyes are wide open. I’m fully conscious.
I feel a heavy presence in the room. I hear whispers but I can’t understand anything they’re saying. And it’s so loud. The wind or water rushing or whatever the f*** it was. I was frantically trying to turn over or move, but it felt like I was being held down. I felt a pain in my lower back, but I couldn’t scream or talk or yell or whisper. Then, I f****** saw it. Right there. In front of my bedroom door. A silhouette. But not a dark one. As if it was invisible. Or trying to be invisible.
But somehow the light from the TV reflected off of it. 7ft tall. Slender. Almost oval shaped head. Standing there. Staring. All of this felt like it lasted hours. Then just as I caught the glimpse of it, my wife opened the bathroom door. I was free and it was gone.
I haven’t told my wife yet. She’s very religious, and I just honestly don’t want her to freak out. But it happened.
Disclaimer: This is not a made up story. This literally just happened to me. I’ve had sleep paralysis before, and this was nothing like it. I was WIDE awake. I feel weird telling this story but I’m hoping just putting my thoughts into words on the screen can help me better understand what just happened. Was it an alien? I don’t know. Could it just been a freak incident? Sure. Whatever it was, I’ve never experienced anything like it. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.
14. What…Are These Things?
This was an experience that happened when I was a kid, probably 8-10. ( I’m 22 now for reference.) There used to be this park in the summers my dad would take me to. He would play basketball in the section where the courts were, and I would play in the section with the park equipment.
One day I was on a swing set, and this couple came up and started talking to me. There was a man and a woman with a black stroller (I don’t think I ever saw a baby in the stroller, I remember it always being faced away from me).
This may have been a normal interaction, and eventually interactions, but something felt very off. There was something, like, dreamlike about the encounter(s). I was even able to pick up on it at that age.
The man in the couple was wearing blue jeans, and a red & white plaid/checkered shirt. However, he looked odd? Like kind of clammy, pale, or jaundiced/gray. I also remember his eyes being very penetrating. The woman had on a dress & (I think) had medium length brown hair. I can’t remember her face, no matter how hard I try. She looked more “normal” from what I remember.
The best way to describe the man’s hair would be kind of blonde, ashen, and artificial looking. Kind of sticking up and in a sort of bowl cut style I think.
I can’t remember exactly what we talked about, but I think it revolved around God/religion, & it was a fairly short interaction — probably about 10 minutes.
The weirder part is that I saw them later at a completely different park at a different date (could have been weeks or months), and they were in the exact same outfits with the exact same stroller. It looked like only 5 minutes had passed, but it was a completely different location at a different time. I can remember feeling apprehensive & “off” when I saw them again, strangely, I can’t remember if I talked to them or not a second time.
And the last key to the story: When I told my Dad about seeing this couple multiple times as a kid, he said that maybe they were “angels”. And I remember that intensely freaking me out for some reason.
Now, there could be a perfectly rational explanation for this. With that said, more recently I’ve been doing more spiritual work & growth — as well as scientific (astrophysical/biological, quantum physics/theory, etc.) research. This memory resurfacing prompted me to share it. It’s not the first time I recalled this happening, but it is the first time I feel like I could maybe get some explanation. (Aliens? Interdimensional beings? Otherwise?).
I’d be happy to provide anymore context about my life (if it’s helpful) or the encounters if I can remember! *This happened in the state of Maryland during the daytime!
Thanks!
13. A Secret Room in Germany
My father passed away from dementia and heart issues at the age of 78 in January. Years before the dementia was diagnosed, my dad (who typical of his generation) never cried. However, he came to me crying and told me the story of his “abduction.” He said it was the real cause of his PTSD, and swore me to secrecy — which I kept until he passed.
He told me the story a dozen times since, always with the exact same details. Nothing ever changed, even the small details were exactly the same when he was close to death with Lewy body Parkinson’s dementia.
My dad was in the Air Force between 1963 and 1966 (I looked it up on his dd214). The story he told was that while he was in the military and stationed in Germany, he was abducted/put in some kind of underground facility for about a week. The story goes that there were giant (7-8 feet tall) humanoid people (he called them Nephilim) forcing him and other soldiers there to do some remedial tasks, and they would observe him. He would joke that he’d make mistakes on purpose just to screw with them. He was stripped of his clothing (except his underwear) and kept doing this day after day. He was offered sex with the females but said no, and they didn’t force him.
After about a week, something happened and he was rescued. He said the thick steel doors were blown open and in came a huge amount of some kind of military in unique uniforms with unique weapons but were human. They got his clothing/wallet back to him, and told him to go back to his barracks. He said he went back to the barracks and nobody ever asked him what happened. No questions at all, except an order to NEVER tell anyone about it.
He never told his wife of 67 years until a month before he died. She knew he had PTSD, but no idea why. When mom and I compared stories, the details were exactly the same, even though he had advanced stage dementia… at that time communicating was VERY difficult yet he got the whole story out.
About that time, I went to stay with my dad’s brother for 2 weeks to help take care of him after getting out of the hospital. I mentioned the story to my uncle (who also was in the Air Force the same time as my father) and he already knew the story. He knew the story identical to what I’d been told. Said dad told him back in the 1960’s. He truly believes it happened, exactly as my dad described it because my dad didn’t make up stories, didn’t lie, and wasn’t one to believe in b*******. My uncle added stories of his own, but not abduction related.
I honestly never believed dad. Especially once diagnosed with dementia, I just assumed it was all part of a big dementia fueled delusion. But my uncle knew this story from the 1960’s. Dad had told him the story back then — way before his dementia.
So I wonder — could it have really happened?
Another thing… the last 2 years of his life he was obsessed with watching any and every alien movie he could find. He told me it was because he was searching for anything similar to what he experienced, so he could show me what he went through. I don’t know…we knew he had dementia at that point — but he tried so hard to get us to understand…
Has anyone heard of something similar?
12. Using a Telescope Can Be Scary
On Sunday, July 18, 2021, I was in my backyard with my mom and I wanted to test out the brand new telescope I had just recently bought. It was finally a clear night, so I began setting it up and adjusting the lens and whatnot. After suffering for a few minutes, I was finally able to align my telescope with the moon — and I proceeded to admire all the glorious details on the moon’s surface and how bright it was that night.
I called my mom over to come look at the moon through the small lens. She said she wanted to see Jupiter, but I told her that it might take me a while since I was still trying to figure out how the telescope works lol. As I‘m readjusting the position of the tripod, a weird feeling comes over me. It felt the same way as when you are walking around in public and someone keeps staring at you. It’s almost as if the stare from their eyes is burning into the back of your head.
My instincts told me to turn around, so that’s exactly what I did. As soon as I turned around, I noticed a very large orange glowing orb just chillin in the sky about a block away from my house.
As I stood there in disbelief, my mind was trying to convince me that it’s probably a plane or helicopter. But all logical reasoning was thrown out the window when the glowing orb began to move in a bizarre, zigzag motion. By the way, this all happened within a matter of like 10 seconds or less just to clarify. 🙂
The exact moment when I whipped my head around to look at it, I saw that it became frightened because I noticed it floating there just WATCHING ME.
It freaked out, and started zigzagging around. In seconds, it shot away at the speed of light — gone without a single sound. To be honest, if I had blinked during any of this, I probably would’ve missed it.
I started panicking a little bit because I was so confused. I couldn’t believe what I had just witnessed. I had so many questions…What was that? Why was it watching me? If it was extraterrestrial beings, what were they planning to do?? Every time I think about this experience, it gives me chills — but it also makes me very curious to find out more about what I saw that strange summer night.
11. The Alien Version of Super Mario?
Hi, I would like to start this off by telling a little about my life. I grew up in North Dakota, like, super rural, middle-of-nowhere North Dakota. It was just me, my mother, and my little brother most of the time.
We spent a lot of our summers outside.
We lived near this abandoned farm with all kinds of land, and so we were out there exploring a lot. I was eight when this happened. James was twelve.
It was late, and we were out catching fireflies. When we saw the spacecraft, it was just above the old water silo. Big, red, and shining down into the old wheat field. It looked like a Toad from Super Mario, for real. But just as soon as it was there, it was gone.
10. An Electric Experience in Idaho
My experience was when I lived in a camper in a state park in Idaho for a summer doing biological field work. I just randomly awoke one night and after about 10 seconds, I noticed a dark figure standing next to my bed.
Not very tall — maybe 4 ft. and human-like — but obviously not human. It had larger dark eyes and different features. I initially moved to the back edge of my bed where nothing happened, and I felt sort of in shock. After another roughly another 5 seconds I felt my entire body flex and go into a spasm like I was being electrocuted.
It was the most intense feeling of helplessness, from being paralyzed with simultaneous pain is all I remembered. After that, everything went black. I just woke up the next morning, and there was light out. Didn’t remember a thing after the spasm.
I convinced myself I was just dreaming, but waking up in my bed from a dream is something I never have remembered doing before or since.
9. Can Someone Explain What’s Happening Here?!
I’m in my bed. Covered in sweat. Shaking and scared. This is my second experience with them. The first time, they watched me. We weren’t in the same room, but I could feel them watching me. I saw their light from the space in the door frame…it was greenish yellow. Also, I don’t remember hearing any sound at all during either encounter.
This time was horrifying. I woke up and saw faces on my ceiling. They weren’t detailed, but they looked human. Their features were outlined with a pink light. They’re interdimensional, and are invisible to my knowledge. I felt two of them grab my arms. I struggled physically. (I think they were really latching onto my consciousness, but our auras are humanoid shaped so really they were grabbing the energy in my arms).
I could feel their grip and their strength. They are smaller and weaker than us, but they have large hands and long fingers. I could feel them pulling me.
Although I got out of bed and struggled physically — pulling and jerking my arms out of their grip — in a spasm of defensive flailing against an invisible force, I believe they were trying to separate my consciousness from my body. So in reality, my physical struggle made no difference.
After the struggle, it seemed like about a minute, they let go. I am not on drugs — although mentally, physically, spiritually…I am exhausted. I believe they come for us when we are vulnerable.
I survived my encounter, and was able to share it. But now I wonder…when people die or have heart attacks or strokes or just collapse…were they the victims of alien abduction? Are their corpses just hollow vessels left behind by interdimensional soul thieves?
8. My Alien Friend Named Radio
I struggle with the idea of sharing my experience, mostly because I don’t know if it actually happened or if it was just a dream. At this point I’ve decided I just want to get it out there and see if anyone else experienced anything like it.
One night in the summer, when I was about 10 or 11, I was awake in the middle of the night and I could hear the horses running around the pasture as if something had happened. I decided to get up and go check on things. At that time my family had a massive old barn, and we lived in the middle of nowhere. I walked through the door of the barn and found a very large “man”, as white as snow, climbing into the hayloft. I remember being startled but not scared. He turned around and looked at me, and slowly lowered himself back down. He took a few steps towards before he knelt down and put out his hand (like one would do with a stray animal).
As I looked at him, I felt like he looked sad and tired, and not at all like he would do me any harm. I decided to take his hand and walk him towards our “kids hang-out space” which was just a space in the barn where we had some old couches, a few toys and a radio. As soon as he saw the radio, he became more animated, ran towards it and started messing around with it. That went on for a bit, and I kept asking him what he needed the radio for. He never said a word. Not one word. He wouldn’t give me a name so I started calling him “Radio.” After some time, he sat the radio down and sat down on the couch. I brought over my favorite horse book and started thumbing through the pages, showing him all of my favorite horse breeds. Eventually he gently took the book from me and closed it as if to say “I’m done.”
I got up to put the book away and he laid down on the couch. I remember him being so large that his head was on the armrest while his legs hung over the other armrest, at the knee. He was a giant. Pure white and I don’t recall any hair. His eyes were jet black, but they weren’t huge or angular. If anything, they slanted downward and were beady. After he fell asleep I decided to go back in the house and go to bed, but I put a blanket over him before I went in.
I woke up in the morning and the whole experience came flooding back to me. My feet were dirty as if I had been outside during the night. I grabbed some snacks and ran out to the barn. I ran to our hangout space and found everything as I would have expected it. The blanket was on the floor, the book was sitting on the table, and radio was out of place. But he was gone.
It’s important to know that I had a habit of sleep walking at this time in my life, so it’s possible that this was all just a dream. At first, I thought he was just a very, very, very, strange person — and I hoped he found safety. The memory never left me — and by the time I was a teen, I had decided that I dreamed the whole thing and let it go. Then Prometheus came out and I agreed to go see it with friends. When the tall white alien came on screen, I nearly jumped out of my seat. It wasn’t an exact likeness, but it was like seeing a ghost.
At the time, I knew absolutely nothing about aliens. The only one I had ever heard of was the classic “little green men.” Nonetheless, I forced myself to let it go and move on. That memory could not be real so I must have dreamed it….
As time passed, I started wondering how I could have imagined a being that I had never heard of? Could that have really happened? Could Radio be real?
7. The Bright Blue Light
So last year, I experienced something that was absolutely strange. I just keep coming back to it thinking about what this could have been — and I can’t get it out of my head. I read the text conversation to my fiancé from that night saved on my phone, and also my texts as it was happening. I was describing what I was hearing and seeing. It was just so vivid and real, I couldn’t believe it.
It was about midnight one night and I was in my room at my parents house. There are two windows in this room, one facing the backyard and one facing the side of the neighbors house. I will be referencing the one facing the backyard. This night, my blinds were shut and the overhead light in the room was on, (for context) so it was not dark in the room. All of the sudden, this big blue beam of light comes rushing in through the shut blinds of the window making a swooshing noise as it comes in.
This light was bright blue, I’m talking LED blue bright as day even with the room lights on and the BLINDS SHUT. I am terrified feeling like I cannot move from my bed. As quick as it swooshes in, it swooshes back out. I hear rustling — almost raking of leaves after the light has left and the world is silent otherwise. I could not explain this as anything human or man made. This light was not a headlight. It could not have made it through my shut blinds over the fence and up to the second floor of our house.
The story does not end here. Two weeks later TO THE DAY and at around the same time, the same experience. Same bright blue beam and same swooshing and raking. I told myself I would get up and see what this was this time, but I was in shock that this had happened again. Just like before, I could not move. My biggest regret to this day is not looking out my window either of the nights.
Please, if anyone has any insight into this experience I would be grateful. I want answers or just something to make me feel a little more sane.
6. “I’m Never Camping Again”
My boyfriend and I had planned a camping trip in Canton, Oklahoma for October 27-28th of 2018. We got to our campsite late in the afternoon, and started to set up like usual. Unload the truck, set up the tent, set up our chairs around the fire pit ring and pile the firewood up. I was really excited for the fire later. We had bought a huge log that had one of those holes through the center, and soaked it with some sort of long burning solution.
We got all of our comfy stuff tossed in the tent. We set up our lights and speaker, hung out around the fire ring listening to music, and talked until the sun went down. Then my boyfriend started a fire with the single giant log I was so excited about. As we were sitting in front of the fire with the sun completely down at this point, the speaker started to mess up. It was a weird loud glitchy static that happened several times. I had never heard it do this before. We figured that maybe it was because the internet was spotty, or maybe the speaker was too far from the phone it was connected to.
So my boyfriend went to check it out on more than one occasion, and couldn’t figure out what the problem might be. We had okay cell service. It started to creep me out, and maybe him as well — but he never said a thing even if it did. To change it up, we decided to just leave it alone and ignore the glitchy static. We then opened the Fritos and bean dip we brought, and cracked some glow sticks at the table.
This is where everything ended…
I dipped 1-2 Fritos in the bean dip and opened a pack of glow sticks. Sitting across from me at the picnic table, my boyfriend opened one of the glow stick packs that you make into glasses. He put the connector piece in his nose like it was oxygen tubes. I remember it so clearly. I remember laughing really hard and saying “OMG get that out of your nose!” And the very next thing I remember was waking up in the tent.
I was in a sleeping bag, nearly all the way zipped up, and my boyfriend next to me asked if I’d unzip the sleeping bag and share It with him because he was freezing. And then that’s when we both sort of snapped out of a sleepy daze and looked at each other so unbelievably confused — and honestly really really scared. So we sat there confused and sort of at a loss for words.
So I said “What the f*** happened? Why are we in here?! How?! What the f***…” I didn’t know what to say or think. My boyfriend looked just as confused and scared. He shook his head in confusion and it was all over his face too, just shock and scared. Then he said “I don’t know, I have no idea what the f*** happened. I just woke up a few seconds before you. I was just laying here flat on my back no pillows blankets, nothing.” This for him is weird because he sleeps with a million pillows. We sat there and talked through what all we had done, and what we last remembered.
We remember the very exact same moment of him putting that connector in his nose like a breathing tube and laughing our a** off. I was really freaked out and kind of hesitant to leave the tent. I’ve never in my life felt so confused, so we laid back down and he wrapped his arms around me and we kept going over what had happened. It was so weird that it didn’t feel like we’d been sleeping on the ground all night. It’s pretty typical to wake up from a night in a tent feeling a little achy. So after a while of talking and nothing making sense, I was ready to finally leave the tent. I start looking around for my jeans and couldn’t find them. So I said “What the h*** — where are my jeans?!”
This is not unusual for me to sleep in only a T-shirt, but it didn’t explain where they were. And all of a sudden, I had a really scary flash of the night that I could clearly remember. I was sitting at the picnic table. He was squatted in front of me, and I was panicked, crying hard, and really scared. I was pulling giant stickers/ thorn things from my jeans, and in this memory my boyfriend was trying to calm me down and comfort me. He said “It’s okay babe, you got to grab them just like this.” This very clear memory was like a slap in the face. It had to have been no more than a 15 second memory. So I tried to explain what just came to me to my boyfriend and he said “I don’t remember that at all, maybe it was a dream?” It made me a little irritated because it was so clear and I knew for sure that happened. So he said he’d run out to the truck to grab my bag with clothes in it. I looked out the tent door flap and saw my shoes side by side set there all nice — not flung to the side like I normally would do.
But when I looked at my shoes, my right shoe’s laces were covered in those giant thorn sticker things. So I yelled “Babe it did happen, it wasn’t a dream” and I said again exactly what he said in my memory and it came back to him too. He remembered exactly and clearly. When he came back to the tent, he had already looked even more freaked out and said “Your jeans were folded nicely on your seat in the truck. You really need to come out here.” So I got dressed and step out of the tent and the first thing I notice is everything was left exactly the same as I remembered it on the picnic table.
There was a single Frito in the bean dip. The pile of glow sticks I never broke still in place, and the pack my boyfriend opened with the little plastic connector piece he had put in his nose right on the table with the other parts. All of our firewood was burned (we had a LOT of wood). It was really silent that morning.
We walked to the bathroom and in doing so we noticed again that all the surrounding lawns were beautifully manicured. So, where did the stickers come from? What the h*** happened? How is this even possible??? One thing my boyfriend noticed that was not normal for him was that he had no pain when he woke up. He was 82nd airborne infantry paratrooper, and wakes up with leg and back pain daily. So I guess that’s the silver lining. Were we abducted? Running from something? Why can’t we remember anything? We both believe in alien life, but aren’t sure if this is what we think it is. Thoughts??
I’ve always been so afraid of the dark, and even more so now and I will never tent camp again! Neither of us have had any other memories come back to us — and I almost wonder if it’s better that way. I’m not looking for answers, I just though I’d finally share this here.
5. A Road Trip Gone Weird
When I was a kid (back in the ’80’s), my mom, my brothers, and I were driving from Oregon to New Mexico. It was the middle of the night when a sign had us take a detour into the desert. We drove for a long time, and my mom had to stop to sleep in the middle of nowhere.
I was sitting in the front chatting with my mom. At the time, my brothers were asleep in the back seat. All of a sudden, the area became as bright as day — and the next thing I knew we were back on the highway.
For years, I thought it was a weird memory. I mentioned it to my mom a couple years ago, and she said she had the exact same memory.
I don’t recall any ships or strange aliens — other than the bright light and time loss.
4. This Wasn’t Your Average ‘Netflix and Chill’ Evening
I don’t know where else to go with this right now. I’ll explain what has just happened, and if anyone else has experienced something similar please let me know. So I was sitting in my living room watching Netflix alone.
My Netflix stopped working. It came up with a little loading 51% circle thing. My air conditioning turned off, and then I heard a beep noise. These two big flashes of light came from either side of my living room. They went through the kitchen, and came from outside the blinds. Suddenly, I couldn’t hear anything.
The best way to explain it was like my head was in a microwave, and it was just deafening silence. I tried to say my dog’s name, and couldn’t even hear myself. Then just as quick, the air conditioning came back on. Netflix started playing again, and I could hear. It was the strangest thing ever.
Anyway, this probably makes no sense and I honestly can’t even read it back. I feel like all the energy has been sucked out of me and I need to sleep. If anyone have any insights let me know…
3. Multiple Visits From Aliens
The first time, they landed on my roof and stood on it. I made eye contact with a grey straight through my roof. We looked at each other in a very loud silence for maybe a hour. Then I moved and once I moved, I just walked into the kitchen. It was weird, and I didn’t want to be in my room anymore.
The second time was maybe three years after. I was in my mom’s room and it was late. Out of nowhere we heard the loudest engine noise I’ve ever heard. It was shaking the house. You could hear several car alarms go off and we were scared as f***. We both sat in the bed until finally I walked to the next room to look. Right when I got close to the window, the noise stopped. There were still car horns going off, but I just didn’t see anything. It was really late, so I don’t think it would be anyone working. It wouldn’t make sense with that time of night. I definitely didn’t see anything, but we both felt it was a UFO in very close range.
2. An Uncomfortable Nature Walk in Canada
I was around 12 years old and out for a walk with my friend in Newfoundland, Canada. The sun was starting to set. We started to walk towards a hiking trail that was pretty steep. Near the top of the trail there was a huge rock, and something was sitting beside the rock.
The way the sun was facing made it hard to pick out any details, but we saw its silhouette, and knew that wasn’t an animal or a human. It was either sitting, or it had no legs. It was hunched over picking up something slowly in a weird movement. It’s hard to describe.
It’s arms and body were super lanky and thin, and it’s head was super small. About half the size of a human head. My friend and I just stared at it for a minute and then it stopped what it was doing. It moved its head and stared at us. We both ran home as fast as we could. We didn’t say a word to each other. We decided to draw what we both saw in different areas.
We flipped the pages over and we both saw the exact same thing. If I was alone, I wouldn’t have believed what I saw. But my friend saw the same thing and many years later we both remember that day.
1. A CRAZY Wednesday Evening
Will never forget. Summer before 7th grade. Sometime in July. Wednesday night, early Thursday morning. The evening before, my family had watched the old school show, “Unsolved Mysteries”. I awoke in the night. Lying on my right side. Awake, but my eyes still shut. Completely silent. None of us ran fans back then to aid in sleep. I was awake, and basically waiting to fall back to sleep again. However, I decided to open my eyes.
On the right side of my bed, right there, was a being. Seemingly fixated on a plush bear that I kept in bed with me. And this being fit all of the descriptions I’d ever always heard about or watched on television. Shorter, pale-gray skin. And those awful eyes. Huge, black, slanted. Staring at my bear. Right by my bed. Honestly, I cannot put into words how I felt right at that moment. I was only just about 12 at the time. At some point, I pulled my covers over my head and felt an awful rushing through my body of super warm, then cool, then warm again. Only later in my life did I understand that I was most likely feeling shock.
I couldn’t scream. Felt frozen. Too scared to scream maybe? What if I DID scream? My mother and step father and 2 brothers would hear me. What the heck would THEY do if they came running into my room and saw this thing? What would IT do? Is it going to kill me? Abduct me? What if it already had and they were returning me? All of these thoughts plus a million more just racing through my young mind. Ugh, awful just recounting it all and writing this story here. Again, how could I ever forget something traumatic like this?
So, being such a “brave” 11-year-old, and after what felt like 12 hours, I decided to try and scare it. I decided I would thrash my legs up and down from under my covers as hard as I could. I know, horrifying, haha. I was so petrified though. So, I did this then remained under my covers just waiting.
Nothing happened.
So, I stayed under the covers. This had to be at least close to going on 2 hours from when I first opened my eyes and saw this thing.
As I lay wide awake, I heard a noise. To this day, I still cannot explain exactly how it sounded. The sound felt as if it surrounded me and was coming from outside. It was a crisp, clean sounding sound. Maybe mechanical but maybe not. Lasting only about 2 seconds. A sound that I definitely had never heard before and definitely have not heard since. As soon as I heard the sound, something in my mind told me, “Oh, they’re gone”. As crazy as it sounds, I firmly believe the sound was their transportation leaving.
Needless to say, I didn’t sleep the rest of the night/early morning. It took me so long to confide in my family about this terribly scary incident. Of course, they did not believe me. However now, from time to time, my mother will mention it and suggest that maybe that’s why I suffer from insomnia now. Very well could be.
This is my first post here in Reddit. Feel free to share any thoughts. Also my first time sharing this story publicly. Would be reassuring to hear any other stories of similar happenings.
